Pokémon TFG: Next Quest Rules FAQ
General Game Questions
Multiple Pokémon Knocked Out at the Same Time
Q. What happens if I have multiple Pokémon sent to the Pokémon Center all at once?
A. You choose the order of your Pokémon going to your Pokémon Center.
Pokémon Figures
Corsola, #5
Harden (White)
"If the Defending Pokémon's attack does 60 damage or less, Corsola isn't Knocked Out."
Q. Harden does 0 damage—does it still Knock Out a Pokémon that spins Miss?
A. No. A White attack must still do damage to Knock Out a Pokémon. If its attack
does 0 damage, either because the attack does no damage or the attack has been reduced to 0 by some
effect, it doesn't send the Pokémon with Miss to its Pokémon Center.
Eevee, #8
Focus Energy (White)
"Spin until you get a result other than Focus Energy. If that result does damage, double it."
Q. If my opponent spins Purple, do I still re-spin Focus Energy, perhaps getting
Dodge?
A. No. If you spin White and your opponent spins Purple, Purple wins.
Feraligatr, #10
Wash Away (Purple)
"Move the Defending Pokémon 2 spaces away, and it has Wait."
Q. What happens if the Defending Pokémon can only move 1 space? If I can choose
between 1 and 2, can I choose 1?
A. You must move the Defending Pokémon 2 spaces if possible. If you can't move it
2 spaces, then you move it as far as you can.
Q. If the Defending Pokémon can't move, does it still have Wait?
A. Yes. The Defending Pokémon would still be affected by the attack—even if it
doesn't get pushed away, it still has Wait.
Meowth, #19
Fake Out (Purple)
"Switch Meowth and the Defending Pokémon."
Q. What happens if Meowth switches into the opponent's Goal but gets surrounded at
the same time?
A. If a Pokémon is surrounded at the end of an attack, it is Knocked Out before
you resolve the win. In this case, Meowth is Knocked Out, goes back to its owner's Pokémon Center,
and the game continues.
Trainer cards
X Accuracy, Trainer card #7
"Choose 1 of your Pokémon. During this turn, spin that Pokémon's Miss results again. (Doesn't
affect Miss results from Burned or Paralyzed.)"
Q. How does X Accuracy work with Charizard's Fire Spin?
A. Once you spin Fire Spin, you keep spinning until Iron Tail comes up—which might
take awhile—and you count the number of Fire Spin results while ignoring the Miss results…
Charizard will probably end up with a powerful hit!
X Attack, Trainer card #8
"Choose 1 of your Pokémon. During this turn, that Pokémon's attacks do 30 more damage."
Q. If an attack spins multiple times, like Charizard's Fire Spin or Marill's
Rollout, does X Attack add 30 more damage for each spin?
A. No. It adds 30 more damage at the end of resolving the Pokémon's attack.
